I say the phrase “tragick mulatto” a lot here. No, it’s not me having a problem with mixed race people as a whole.

A tragick mulatto is (generally) a person mixed with white and some non-passing PoC who either:

• heavily identifies with whiteness/upholds the tenets of white supremacy
• believes that they suffer harder than darker-skinned PoC because of their mixed-raceness

They usually rage against darker-skinned or “full” PoC for not immediately adoring them, despite the fact that they have been assholes to those PoC. They consistently quote themselves as “being able to understand both sides of the coin” despite only siding with the white side of said coin. They quote certain issues they have due to their mixed-raceness, such as being asked repeatedly what’s up with their hair and where they are from, and believe these to be mixed-race only issues when it’s really just “exotic looking PoC issues”. (For example, someone once made a list of mixed-race specific issues that applied to a crapton of “full” PoC.)

What exactly are the requirements to be a …”full” POC? In fact, I didn’t know there was a percentage you need to have. So basically, what you are saying is that President Obama is not a “full” POC because his mother is white?
